Program Highlights

 COMMUNITY READING SERIES

Special guest readers, including authors, educators, artists, and community

leaders, will visit:

‎‎ ‎

• Local elementary and middle schools
• Adult nursing homes and disability care facilities

Guests will lead interactive read-alouds and book talks that connect youth

and elders through shared stories and dialogue.

YOUTH POETRY CONTEST

Young writers across Essex County are invited to submit original poetry.

• Three youth poets will be selected
• Winners will perform live at a regional venue

This program amplifies youth voice, creativity, and confidence through

literary arts.

FAMILY BOOK FAIR & LITERACY CELEBRATION

A joyful, family-centered event featuring:

• Free books for children
• Local and regional authors
• Independent bookstores and publishers
• Reading activities, literacy games, and prizes
